Funbox Digital MultiEffect

The FunBox is an open source digital guitar pedal platform developed by GuitarML and designed around the very capable Daisy Seed chip by Electro-Smith. It features buffered stereo input and output, as well as expression and midi input via 1/8" TRS jacks. Its design and effects were inspired by high-end audio brands such as Meris, Chase Bliss, and NeuralDSP. GuitarML has developed a suite of open source effects available on Github, including a neural amp sim, reverb/delay, dual looper, FFT based spectral reverb and delay, and a Midi keyboard synth. The project scope includes ordering the Funbox through-hole PCB, electronic components, and enclosure, soldering and assembling the pedal, and uploading the effects software. GuitarML doesn't sell kits, it is truly a "Do It Yourself" kind of project, however I have a comprehensive build guide and resources to assist. Whether you dream of creating your own commercial grade digital effects, looking for your next STEAM project or an addition to your pedalboard, the Funbox is a great place to get started.

Seed Pedal

The Seed pedal is an open source digital guitar pedal designed around the Terrarium platform by PedalPCB (which uses the Daisy Seed chip by Electro-Smith). It is a mono multi effect including 4 neural amp models, reverb, delay, tremolo, and a 5 minute reversible looper. Note: Due to updates in the Daisy Seed chip, modifications to the original Terrarium are required for noise reduction. See notes on Github project page Readme.

Analog Pedals

If analog pedals are more your thing, GuitarML does that too! Currently we have an open source design for a simple boost pedal perfect for getting into DIY pedal building.

Daisy Seed Projects Pedal

This pedal is a Daisy Seed based pedal by Github user bksheperd (not GuitarML), with open source hardware that anyone can build for themselves. This is a high quality SMD design with stereo, quiet relay bypass, an OLED screen and tons of controls. GuitarML has developed a collection of effects for the platform. Visit the github project page for more info, and watch the GuitarML demo video to get an idea of what it can do.
